Death Crater is a speedrun in the Dino Run game, costing 750 Bones and can contain the Magno Egg in the volcano. In this level, the player must reach the ends of the crater to get into the sanctuary. Swarms of Dactyls will help you along the way. Death Crater is one of the few volcanic speedruns.
Landmarks[]
The level has ash cover the sky, creating a dark purple atmosphere. The ground is coated in volcanic ash, and it also has volcanic traps and dead trees. It has the desolate background.
As the name implies, this level is composed of dark, tough valleys. On the way in, there is a down-slope entrance by passing through the volcano. On the way out, there is a steep exit to the crater. There is always a volcano at the beginning of the level.
Strategy[]
This level is exceedingly difficult, especially when playing on Insane difficulty. Burning dactyls abound and can easily knock you into the Doom Wall. Crouch or jump over them to avoid them. Boulders are also everywhere in this level, making it easy to lose your momentum and fail, especially on the uphills. For one uphill section, you will need to rely to Dactyls to get you up to the end. Be wary of volcanic traps that slow you down when trying to pass through. Dactyl rides should be able to handle them.
You will need max speed and acceleration stats as well as 500 DNA to beat this level. The strength boost from the DNA will come in handy when dealing with the burning dactyls and boulders, especially when climbing the uphill section.
